Last night I was invited to the media launch of Abu Dhabi’s latest groundbreaking modernist Indian inspired restaurant. Tamba opened it’s doors to the UAE’s elegant and stylish crowd while serving innovative small bites that Indian dreams are made of. Located in The Hub at Word Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi, you had to walk through the mall for a few minutes till you got to the elevators that took you up to witness luxury at it’s best. I rode to Abu Dhabi with super ease through My Careem 😊
With beautiful flower arrangements and a lady dress in a Flower Garden outfit, we were quite excited as to what the rest of the night will unfold.
Upon entering, we were greeted with free flowing cocktails and mocktails and we happily sipped on some sparkling Rose. One could not take their eyes off the very well designed and unique interiors which consisted mainly of big Bells, bells that are usually seen in Indian temples.
The dining area overlooked the open kitchen and had beautiful separators to separate the private dining area from the main.
Their outdoor area offered stunning views of Abu Dhabi while one could relax with their drinks and still enjoy the music – a fusion of the resident DJ and the Tabla player. The combination was much more than just music to the ears.
Since it was the grand launch last night, I only got to try the watermelon salad, the eggplant in tomato sauce and the foam topped pani puri.
The skilled chefs in the open kitchen were working at a speed of lightning trying to cater to the crowd that kept asking for more. While I sipped on my masterfully made unique Cinnamon drink, I couldn’t wait to come back to this place when it was less crowded to see what more they had to offer!
Tamba will truly be one of this year’s most sought after joints due to its promising menu and uniquely designed space.
