Experience Lebanese Royalty at Grand Cafe Boulevard

Hello Foodie Friends 😊

Grand Cafe was such a pleasant surprise with so many vegetarian dishes! Fine dining Lebanese food serving absolutely delicious vegetarian options. My Tasting here was nothing short of absolute finesse.

After being greeted with much warmth, we settled down to see what would be served. We were expecting the usual hummus, fattoush, etc. that vegetarians usually end up having but we were in for a treat! From the drinks, to the Rose shisha, to the food – everything was worthy of it’s fine dining stature.

We started off with a sampler of Labneh, Olives and Pickles with crispy bread which was a delight. The Labneh was savoury and delicious and went extremely well with the crispiness of the khubs.

Then came the drinks where we had the Classic Mojito – absolutely refreshing with a combination of mint and lime, and Bully Mary made of strawberry, syrup, red bull, mint leaves and lime wedges. This drink was the winner! It was so unique and even though i don’t like red bull, I couldn’t help but love the combination of flavours in this.

We were then served:

Grilled Mashed Potatoes (Aed 36) – So so tasty! I love anything potato and this one was flavourful and so light. A must for potato lovers. It’s not your typical creamy mashed potato so be ready to savour something different.

Hummus (Aed 36) – Served on a platter, the hummus here was served in a way unlike anything i have seen before. It was 2 dollops of servings and each mashed with tahini, lemon juice and garlic, topped with olive oil, paprika, mint and toasted saj rolls. It tasted as good as it looked.

Muhamara Rolls (Aed 38) – You will love eggplant after eating this πŸ™‚ Spicy walnut mix rolled in eggplantand served with tahini and pomegranate molasses, this dish went very well with hunnus and the salad.

Fattouch (Aed 42) – The tastiest I have had! it had the freshest of vegetables and the most delicious lemon dressing. I am not a salad person but i actually took 3 servings of this one πŸ™‚ Seasonal vegetables mixed with watercress, baby lettuce, sumac with crispy saj bread rolls.

Stuffed Grape Leaves (Aed 38) – This is one lebanese dish my tastebuds still can’t get used to and unfortunately i couldn’t change the way they felt here either 😦 Sorry, but stuffed grape leaves is just not my thing.

Spicy Wedges (Aed 38) – Sauteed with garlic chili and coriander – This won my heart! It was like fried chips and the spices were perfect!

Breads – hot and fluffy, these were a bit to the crispy side and i felt could have been softer but none the less went well with the hummus.

We didn’t have any space for dessert after this, so we skipped that. The service was amazing and my plus 1 loved the rose shisha she had ordered. The interiors have paintings top to floor paintings depicting snapshots of life in Lebanon which were beautiful.

They also have a live band that sings and plays in the evenings.

A trip here, will truly make you feel like royalty. I loved the modernistic middle eastern feel to the spacious place.

On our way out I couldn’t help but notice the cute hats as if they were waiting to be worn by traditional dancers and show their magic.

It also has outdoor seating area at the top overlooking the downtown area.

I am definitely looking forward to go back here with my family as they all enjoy Lebanese food very much and this place is undoubtedly now on the top of my list.
