Classy Iftar at Accents in Intercontinental Marina

For those with an international palette and for those crazy about desserts, Iftar at Accents in the Intercontinental Marina is the place for you!

Upon reaching the restaurant, you see these tall sculptures of figures which are called The Walking Men. They are quite fascinating!

Not only was i looked after very well by the chefs and the manager, I also had the pleasure of savoring a personalized vegetarian dish which the chef cooked up for me upon learning i was vegetarian. The service made the experience all the more better!

You can break your fast with a date platter which is kept beforehand on the table and the traditional drinks such as laban and jallab are available in the buffet or can be served to you on request.

The buffet has a variety of dates and nuts and soup to start with. A selection of salads, breads and starters are fresh and in abundance!

The have a live Asian counter serving some excellent noodles and fried rice and really good raw mango salad.

From the Arabic section you have varieties of manakish, batata harra, cheese samousek and spinach fatayer.

There is an Italian section too serving pizzas and focaccia.

This was what the chef made me which was delicious! It was made of mustard seeds in olive oil. In Indian it’s popularly known as Sarson but never have i ever heard it being cooked in olive oil which gave it it’s unique flavor.

The desserts were just another level! Everything was excellent and presented so so well. I think i tasted them all. From traditional to modern desserts, there was so much variety and each and every dessert was to die for!

The ambience of the hotel is quite classy and the restaurant is very modernistic. The views from the outdoor section of the restaurant are breathtaking and will make for perfect brunching during winters!

The best part? For every 2 Iftar’s you purchase, they donate one Iftar meal to a labour camp in Al Quoz. They give a lot of thought to food wastage, hence you will find that the Iftar has just the right amount of varieties and doesn’t go over the top sticking mainly to live stations which reduces wastage.

An Iftar here is must! My experience was amazing and the service is remarkable!
