Will you believe me if i tell you that this is one of the finest Asian Takeout meals I have had in Dubai?
When i had first visited Prax’s in their newly opened Jumeirah branch, I wasn’t very impressed with the food. It lacked flavour or maybe that was just me, but i felt i had had better Asian food.
However, when i recently visited them again, I must must must give them all credit for upping their game extensively!!! The quality of the food was brilliant and the flavors were just bursting in your mouth with every bite! I absolutely love their whole concept and now i would definitely rank this as one of the finest casual Asian meals i have savored in Dubai.
Their interiors are casual and perfect for what their brand is all about. Everything is served in takeaway containers which makes casual dining easy! The mains of rice and noodles come in your typical Oyster Pail (originally known as that but more commonly knows as the chinese takeout container) and branded super cutely with Prax’s neon eye catchy colors.
Honestly, i loved how each and every thing was branded. Nikita helped us go through the menu and explained the vegetarian options. It was pretty non-fussed and easy to understand and you don’t need to know rocket science to figure it out.
We opted for the Papaya Salad, Spring Rolls, Steamed Dumplings, and went freestyle on our mains which consisted of Chilli Basil Soba Noodles with veggies (OMG best decision ever!!!) and Egg Fried Rice with Black Pepper Sauce.
The spring rolls were so crispy and amazing and so were the Soba Noodles. These 2 dishes are definitely something i would add to my list of favs!
The Chilli Basil sauce was spicy and the Tofu was super soft with the noodles being healthy and delicious at the same time! I loved the fact that i had a choice to add whatever vegetables i liked.
My Soba Noodles consisted of:
Chilli Basil Sauce
They were perfection and trust me, I don’t like noodles easily.
We then moved on to dessert and i HIGHLY recommend the Date and Caramel (the one pictured on the left). You could actually taste the caramel and the date was not at all over powering. This dessert was perfection! The dessert on the right consisted of coconut and ginger and since i don’t like both those ingredients in my dessert, i would opt for the former one any day.
What i loved about Prax’s was you could see everything being cooked through their open kitchen concept. Tossing your food through all that fire without burning it requires truw art 🙂
The outlet is spacious and perfect for those working in the area. For those who live in and around Barsha Heights, Prax’s is quite popular for its delivery concept.
Don’t miss out on this one peeps. They are all the rage and truly deserve every bit of it!
