Big Daddy’s – Who’s Your Daddy?

Once upon a time, in the not too distant past, New Yorkers were in need of an old-school classic diner. A place to share good times. Hear great tunes. Leave their worries behind. Enjoy some good ole’ fashioned fun. And, of course, feast on time-tested diner favorites any day of the week.

Introducing Big Daddy’s NYC: a bright beacon of neon light shining down on Park Avenue South, to the delight of hungry people all over Manhattan and beyond. Big Daddy’s filled the gaping hole in stomachs everywhere, by giving this great city an authentic, hip 80’s-styled restaurant where massive burgers, crispy tots, and thick milkshakes reign supreme.

A trip here will surely satisfy your craving for large meals and typical american food. Everything we had was good, some dishes unique, and most with a good amount of flavor. But they are pretty heavy so 2 or 3 people can easily share a portion if you want to have a variety of dishes.

We were given the mac and cheese and tater tots, both of which were delicious. the mac and cheese thankfully wasn’t too heavy even after 5-6 bites and the tater tots which are fried potato balls were pretty good.

I called for a CandyFloss Shake and it was so cute to look at but quite sweet. I am sure that is how it is supposed to be because well, it had candyfloss! My friend ordered the Birthday Shake which was really good and came with a cute candle on top which you get to blow! Loved that concept 🙂

The Coffee Shop Grilled 3 Cheese was to die for! It had a swirl of coffee flavor in the bread which you can see below and was unique. Best had when hot! The 3 cheeses made it quite hard to finish the full dish.

We opted for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pancakes which come as 3 pieces and are so good! A single person cannot finish this with all the other food. but is a great breakfast option. Everything is made in house so the food was of good quality.

The S’mores Explosion Sundae is a small portion but can be shared by 2 after all that food. Even though i did not taste it, i did hear the others say it was so good especially if you like marshmallows.

They also have pancakes and french toast with funfetti which made it so fun to eat!

The place is super funky and so fun for those who love colors. A good option for those with large appetites or big groups.
