Elegant Chinese Cuisine at Long Yin, Le Meridien

Authentic Chinese is a flair that not many restaurants get right. But Long Yin at the Le Meridien doesn’t fail to impress.

From the impressive cutlery to the warm service, Long Yin makes you feel welcome with its soothing music and ambiance.

Chinese cuisine aficionados can expect nothing less than what this restaurant is famous for – traditional Cantonese & Schezwan at its best.

Long Yin’s menu with its new look, boasts the all time favourites and a dedicated section offering 34 fried and steamed dim sum.ย We left it up to the manager to recommend the most popular dishes and we were served:

Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and Mushroom Dumplings – Best steamed dumplings I have ever had! They were mouth-watering and bursting with flavours and not for one second did i feel they were bland.

Steamed Vegetable Buns – Stuffed with mixed vegetables and spiced to perfection, these were appetizing and went extremely well the schezwan sauce.

Onion Pancakes and Spring rolls – Perfectly crispy, the onion pancakes were baked to a golden hue and stuffed with spring onions whereas the vegetable spring rolls were deep fried but light and tasty.

For the mains we had, Braised Lohan Mixed Vegetables, Vegetable Fried Rice, Tofu in Black Bean Sauce, Stir Fried Noodles and Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce. Every dish was made keeping true to its flavors and my favorite was the soft tofu. It was food fit for a king and we loved each and every dish that was brought out on to the table.

As full as we were, no meal is complete without dessert and we are so glad we opted for the Chilled Mango Pudding. Fluffy and pleasing to the tastebuds, this small portion was a great size after a heavy meal and was very delicious! It was topped with fresh cream and drizzled with Mango Puree.

Even the orange juice i had with my meal was so fresh and helped to seep away any exhaustion.

They also have an outdoor area which is great for the winter months but i definitely prefer the indoors.

I am happy to have found an authentic Chinese restaurant which cooks up food favorable to the variety of people in UAE. A very pleasant experience.
