Al Grissino, DIFC – This Luxurious Italian Restaurant Will Leave You Breathless

They say, when you expect nothing, there is joy in everything! But with Al Grissino, it was a surprise I was definitely not expecting.

Italian fine dining and HOW! I was invited to Al Grissino by the Zomato Team for the on-going Restaurant Month. I honestly had not heard about this place and so I didn’t know what to expect. When i walked in, the absolutely beautiful and stunning decor of this place took my breath away! And the views were such a bonus!

Dim lit but enough to convert the place into a very romantic one, this luxurious Italian restaurant was quite a surprise when it came to the service, food and ambiance.

They had a set menu for reviewers and so I opted for the Burrata, Mushroom Risotto and Tiramisu. And i can’t rave enough about the food! We were given a complimentary bread basket at first which has some delicious varieties served with herb infused butter.

The Burrata was one of the best i had ever come across and the portion was huge. It was good to be a meal in itself and came lined with baked bread which combined really well.

The Mushroom Risotto was made with fine quality ingredients and had a hint of truffle oil which enhanced the whole dish. This again, is a very big portion and can be easily shared by two. It was classic and not hindered with any additional drama.

The Tiramisu again was one of the BEST i had ever had and i can’t recommend it enough! If you don’t want to indulge in a meal, the Tiramisu alone is reason enough to visit this place. It came as a thin layer of coffee dipped ladyfingers which was loaded with cream, cocoa dust, meringues and chocolate shaped spaghetti. It was so good i didn’t want to share it with my friend 🙂

I also shared the Panna Cotta with my friend and this was a delicious serving of sweetened thick cream with sides of berry puree which was highly enjoyed.

There was also a live Pianist playing every Thursday who also takes requests. He sang beautifully and added to the spark of the evening.

It’s elegant white decor and views makes it one of the finest spots to dine in the city. The lounge area is also beautifully made with it’s dome glass windows and is definitely one place you should be seen in.

I cannot recommend this place enough! All you need to do is grab your better half by the arm and head down here now.
