Marka PJSC (DFM: MARKA), the first public joint stock retail operator in the UAE, has been awarded ‘Best MENA Franchise Brand’ at the MENA Franchise Awards for Excellence in Franchising for its flagship restaurant Reem Al Bawadi. The award, given on 25 th October, recognizes Marka’s excellence as Best MENA Franchise Brand.
Reem Al Bawadi is a good choice for an evening out or a lunch with some Arabic flair. This branch has an outdoor area preferred mostly by those who like to smoke shisha. A step inside and you will be transported to an Arabian home that showcases pretty lanterns, framed pictures of celebrities adorning the walls and antiques from an era bygone.
The food too is served with a lot of pompous and we enjoyed everything that Reem Al Bawadi is generally known for.

The Hummus was simple and how it should be. It came with fresh hot khubz (arabic bread) and couldn’t go wrong.
The orange and pineapple juice was fresh and so refreshing. It really helped mellow down the exhaustion i was feeling that day due to the heat.
The spicy potatoes were just amazing! Bursting with spices and quite flavorful, you could have these on your own or with the garlic paste that we requested for.
The falafels were a little less crispy but good none-the-less. We enjoyed them with a tahina dip that came along with it.
The showstopper was the 5 cheese manakeesh which satisfied all my cheesy cravings.
What i loved the most was the dessert called ChocoBoa which was like a chocolate manakeesh topped with nutella, strawberries and bananas and sprinkles with pistachios.
It tasted heavenly and i loved the burst of flavours that came with each bite.
With so many branches across town, Reem Al Bawadi is your next door Middle Eastern restaurant that has a lot to offer. This branch also has stunning views of the Burj Khalifa if you are seated outdoors. Quite a spot to visit especially when you have guests in town.
