A bonus for those living and working in DIP, Drip House is a specialty coffee shop specializing in brewing with coffee beans which are grown on an elevation and are supposed to be more authentic and pure.
For those who do not like the busy vibe of the city, drip house will serve as a calm and serene place to de-stress. You are welcomes by its spacious setting with a book shelf on the right where you can either choose to read or play the many board games available there.
The staff is extremely friendly and warm and will answer all your “WHY’s” which is what the WHY stands for on the wall. Why specialty coffee? Why is the sugar kept in the corner? Why the guitar? Why the books? Ask them why and they will indulge with you in a conversation which will make you feel at home.
They are trained barista’s who brew the coffee right in front of you. I usually don;t like my coffee without milk and sugar but i was open to experimenting and they brewed me a Chemex which was not too strong and was actually delicious. Making coffee is art and the Chemex is an elegant piece of art they use to brew a dark, sweet, rich cup that is guaranteed to satisfy even the toughest tastes, using a paper filter and water heated to a precise 89 degrees C, they hand pour the water in circles over the grounds to make sure they extract the goodness from every piece of ground.
We also tried a variety of their food and dessert offerings of which the Low Fat Spinach and Feta Quiche was no fuss and simple.
I really liked the hard on the outside but a bit soft on the inside truffles.
They have a variety of low fat and gluten free options. A super nice place to relax in and get away from the hustle of the world.
