WOW! That’s what I can say genuinely from the heart for this fabulous Italian restaurant! From the service to the food, everything was impeccable.
I have been visiting a lot of Italian restaurants lately and even though most of them are really good, this particular one has flavors that will surprise you with accommodating chefs that will make sure you feel right at home.
Before I get into what I ate, I must point out that i was 2 hours late for my review because of car trouble and even though the entire team had a huge event in the evening and had to leave, they were waiting for me and served me genuinely with a lot of love without judgement or irritation. I can just about imagine how stressed they must be to prepare for the event in the evening and inspite of that they didn’t make me feel even once that I had messed up their schedule. To me, that level of service is unbeatable and even though they didn’t have to do it because of my situation, they still waited and Mr Heinz Beck himself was there to make us feel welcome. This place just won me over!
We were over the moon to meet and take pictures with Chef Heinz Beck himself.
He even made Risotto for us 🙂

Now you know why we were so excited to meet him and get a chance to cook some Risotto with him in the kitchen 🙂 His sous-chef took over our requests and prepared us one of the most mouth watering Italian meals.
INSALATA DI QUINOA – The BEST Quinoa Salad I have ever had! Fresh quinoa salad mixed with fresh crunchy vegetables and red Italian vinegar dressing. The quinoa was cooked so flavorful that for the first time I could have the entire portion without cringing.
BURRATA CON VERDURE IN PINZIMONIO – Burrata with zucchini, carrots, asparagus and fennel salad seasoned with white balsamic vinegar. This velvety Burrata was luscious and definitely going in one of my top favs.
BRUSCHETTA DI POMODORO E OLIVE – Toasted baguette with cherry tomatoes, olives, basil and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. The tomatoes were lightly drenched in a delicious olive oil and this dish was as much a delight to look at as it was in taste.
RISOTTO WITH FRESH TRUFFLE – I wanted to cry when I had this risotto. It was a trip to heaven and I may have eaten many a risotto that have made my stomach happy, but the risotto here made my soul happy! Served with a drizzle of oil and fresh Truffle shavings, this risotto was a classic and creamy and flavourful and everything magical at the same time. BEST IN DUBAI so far hands down!
RAVIOLI WITH RICOTTA AND SPINACH – I love ravioli but i have always craved one that is true to it’s Italian genre. With the number of restaurants in Dubai, you will come across many, a lot of them good, and some not so good, but have the Ravioli here and you will want to jump with joy! Perfectly cooked and tossed in olive oil, Chef Federico, on my request, made me a vegetarian ravioli which came on a light base of Pea Foam and topped with cooked asparagus. The astonishing part was it was not cooked in butter and just olive oil and still tasted magical. He topped it with fresh truffle and I highly recommend this dish.
MARGHERITA (Pizza Alla Palla – which is a crispy oval shaped pizza) – Fior di latte Mozarella and Basil. Crispy and wood fired and more than perfection, this Margherita is truly Italian and the crispiness will make you forget about all the pizzas you have been having before in your life.
TIRAMISU – Heinz Beck’s signature, this was an Italian classic which was served in a deconstructed form. I have never seen Tiramisu like this. Break the ball and inside is a miraculous mascarporne whipped cream. Drenched in coffee sauce, this is one dessert you should not miss!
Caramello Mango Tart – A tart with a caramel filling, this dessert will be preferable for those who do not like something too sweet.
CANNOLO – Cannolo is an Italian pastry of the Sicily region. The singular is cannolo meaning “little tube”. In Italy, they are commonly known as “cannoli siciliani”, Sicilian cannoli. Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta. This one was the size of a finger and very cute. I just wished the pastry puff was a bit softer.
