Spice Kraft, JLT

A menu curated thoughtfully and dishes created with love, the food at Spice Kraft is a delight for those craving a twist to the traditional Indian cuisine.

We were called to review the food and since it is an all vegetarian menu, we went all out to taste the variety of Indian and Indo-Chinese. The food has been curated with a lot of thought and made to the par of any semi fine dine Indian restaurant.

The vibrant decor of the restaurant screams Indian and the Dubai skyline across the walls has been made with hints of Indian artwork.

They have a variety of thali’s from different regions of India but we stuck to the a la carte menu.

Starting off with some refreshing ORANGE JUICE, we also savored some MASALA PAPAD which came with a twist of sev on top. Generally masala papad doesn’t have that and this was a nice addition. My friend also tried this MANGO LASSI which was creamy, thick and quite filling.

We called for the VEG KEBAB PLATTER which had an assortment of their most popular vegetarian tandoor dishes for people like us who couldn’t decide what to order. The kebabs were succulent and the stuffed potato was decent.

The CHILI PANEER was really good as the paneer melted in your mouth. It had indo-chinese flavors and was tangy and spicy.

For the main course we had the KOFTA SHAAM SAVERA which was spinach and cottage cheese dumplings in a rich, creamy based tomato gravy. I don’t tend to enjoy sweet bases but this was still a delight.

From the daal’s, we ordered the DAAL MAKHANI TADKA which was a twist to the traditional black daal. This had a tadka of whole kashmiri spices and coriander leaves and was appetizing. It went well with the garlic butter naan.

For dessert we chose the GULKAND KHOYA SHOOTER which was extremely good! I really liked the twist of the Gulkand to a dessert. We also tried the RAS MALAI but i liked the former dessert more.

I would definitely want to go back to try more of their dishes. For now, I was satisfied with my scrumptious meal and would recommend it is decently priced for the portion sizes and especially if you want to savor some good Indian delicacies.
