I have always been wanting to go to Nom Nom Asia but somehow never could make a trip down to Barsha. So when they opened in Karama, I could not contain my excitement!
I finally got to try this casual, relaxed joint and it truly is a hidden gem! If you love Thai food, you will love Nom Nom! Just to entice you, here is my beautiful spread 🙂
I am a big fan of small places that serve great food! Nom Nom is surely now one of them. With authentic Thai choices and Indo-Chinese dishes, this place draws upon the lively street food culture – but with a twist. They are very inspired by the bold flavors of South-East Asia.
What i loved most was the number of sauces that are offered which can be suitable for any palette. In the vegetarian options I tried:
Iceberg Lettuce Wrap – AED 31 – Fresh and with a tasty stuffing that you can fill on your own, these are best when you add quite a few sauces to it to make it juicy.
Thai Green Curry Spicy – AED 38 – This is one spicy dish but oh so good! I loved the burst of flavours and spiciness and the jasmine rice that i ordered with it were perfect! Loaded with veggies, this curry is not for those with a faint heart.
Sichuan Spicy Noodles – AED 25 – Loved everything about these! The Indo-Chinese flavours made me want to sit in my pajamas and chill with this while watching a movie. This is now my comfort food.
Mango Sticky Rice – AED 27 – OMG this is one of the best I have had! The rice was hot when served and i think the warmth of it added to everything! It came with some coconut milk which could be poured over the sticky rice and enhanced the flavour. It was marvelous!
The interiors are quite cosy and the service is warm. I am very glad this is so close by to my workplace and home! With their extensive menu, you can’t go wrong! Nom Nom is now my quick fix for Thai cravings 🙂
