UK’s famous Lick FroYo is now at Dessert Island, Kite Beach

Lick frozen yogurt is now one of the many delicious options at Dessert Island, who pride themselves in creating the most exceptional gelato’s in Dubai.

It is situated on the famous Kite Beach, known as a kite surfing and wind surfing hot spot. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon, eating froyo and enjoying the beach sport spectacle.

Lick was started by two school friends as a summer job when they sold froyo and ice-cream from a Trike in the British seaside town of Tenby. They saved up over several years and in 2008 opened the UK’s first ever froyo shop, Lick. Tubs of their fat-free froyo are on sale in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, and most recently Spinneys in Dubai. It is 100% fat-free and all natural, meaning it’s a great low calorie indulgence. Lick’s soft serve frozen yogurt is used by froyo parlours, dessert shops, cinemas, restaurants and theme parks all over the world. It is the only liquid frozen yogurt mix in the world that can be distributed and stored at room temperature, and has a 12 month shelf life.

When I was invited to try out the same, I wondered if it was worth the trip down just for froyo, but boy was I glad I did! It was honestly exceptional inspite of being Fat Free! Currently available only in their natural flavour, it was served with berries and tasted refreshing and super tasty and was a perfect indulgence while watching the sunset by the beach.

Do try it out and if you want to indulge while watching your favorite show, what’s better, it’s available at Spinneys!
