A cute little Mexican inspired joint has opened up on University Road in Sharjah and serves fulfilling food with quite a few tasty options.
It may be a little difficult to locate but is behind all the main restaurants on University Road. Upon entering you will find a few Mexican elements like small pots of cactus, a mexican hat and overall for those who might want to take pics in it 🙂 and a jar full of peanuts which you can indulge in to your hearts content.
I tried the Mexicana Roll without the chicken. Grilled vegetables stuffed in sesame bread this filling dish was made with mozzarella cheese, pepper corn, onion, mushroom, iceberg lettuce, mayo, jalapenos and hot sauce. It was quite good and served with sauces to tickle your tastebuds. One order comes with 2 pieces of the same roll.
The sides are not small enough to be sides. They are huge and a meal in itself. We ordered:
- Chili Fries with cheddar cheese, jalapenos and hot sauce.
- Fahita Fries with cheddar cheese, jalapenos, guacamole, sour cream and hot sauce.
- Guacamole and Chips which was Max chips with hot sauce topped with sour cream and guacamole.
I loved the Fahita fries and Guacamole and chips. They were delicious and the guac was very well made. The combination was a flavour explosion in a bite.
The service is commendable. This little joint will soon become a popular hangout for its affordable food.
