The Artisan by Enoteca Pinchiorri, DIFC

Famous in Florence and beyond, ENOTECA PINCHIORRI is know for offering a feast for the senses. L’ENOTECA PINCHIORRI is home to one of the best chefs in the world, and the 3 Michelin Stars main restaurant in Florence has been highly acclaimed since the 1970’s.

Thanks to Annie Féolde and Giorgio Pinchiorri’s passion for food and wine, today, Enoteca Pinchiorri is more than a restaurant: an institution of gourmet excellence, a destination for all discerning food, wine and ambiance lovers. The Artisan by Enoteca Pinchiorri is yet another chapter in a rich culinary history. It is a sensational awakening and a celebration of Italian excellence, characterized by delectable dishes, an exhaustive wine selection, elegant interiors and friendly service.

Located in Burj Daman in DIFC which hosts a number of fine dining restaurants, this eatery is classy and perfect for dates or when you want to indulge in art on a plate.

We started off with 2 Christmas drinks which were left to the choice of the staff and both were delicious! One came topped with cinnamon and decorated with a christmas decoration which made it look to pretty!

The other was fruity and perfect for an afternoon lunch. I loved the addition of the snowflake 🙂

We then indulged in an Artichoke Salad which in Italian was named as “Insalata di Carciofi, Asparagi Verdi, Parmigiano e Limone” which was an Artichoke and Green Asparagus Salad with parmesan slices and lemon. It looked like art on a plate. It was the most beautiful salad I had ever seen. I don’t even like artichokes as such but i ate this entire dish. It was beautiful and a true joy to the palette.

We then moved on to Zucchini flowers (pictured on the left below) which were mind blowingly good! The fried zucchini flowers were soft on the inside and stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and tuscan pesto. I was immediately hit by the deliciousness of the filling and enjoyed the texture of the zucchini.

On the right was my main course which was hand-made Agnolotti stuffed with Mantova pumpkin, sage, butter and roasted almonds, topped with parmesan fondue. Honestly, this is the best pasta I have ever had outside my comfort zone of a penne in tomato and cream sauce. The agnolotti was made to perfection and was soft. The stuffing was not over powering and the combination of the entire dish worked extremely well for me.

For desserts, we tried their Christmas special cake with a beautiful and fluffy orange mascarporne. We also had the Tiramisu which was topped with chocolate shavings.

The slight bitterness of the chocolate shavings complimented the perfect sweetness of the Tiramisu.

The interiors are like an art gallery. Walk in and you can see glass chandeliers of fleur-de-lis which is the symbol of Florence. These are reflected on their dessert plates too. The restaurant also has some stunning artwork and has very clean and simplistic but elegant decor.

My experience at The Artisan was nothing short of spectacular. From the service to the food to the ambiance, everything oozes luxury and is perfect to impress your loved one.
