Bosporus – Your bridge to Turkey

Since my trip to Turkey back in 2008, I have been longing for a good Turkish restaurant in Dubai. Tried many but in vain and then wasn’t too keen on trying any more thinking I will never find what i experienced back in Turkey.

So when i stumbled upon Bosporus, my insides couldn’t help but squeal with delight at finding Turkish food which was authentic and came with warm and friendly service just like back in Turkey.

For the founding team, it all started in Turkey, the bridge that connects two different parts of the nation, built across the world’s narrowest natural strait – Bosporus. The Bridge to Turkey is significant to their brand and solely emphasizes on their service. Like any other bridge, which connects two separated mainlands, Bosporus connects the people of Dubai with the exquisite cuisine of Turkey.

At a bloggers meet, we were taken around the huge and spacious branch at Wafi Mall which has a beautiful terrace area where guests can enjoy sheesha while overlooking the wondrous architecture of the mall. The ingredients they use are displayed in one of the sections of the restaurant but unfortunately can’t be bought. This is just to show their guests the authenticity of the quality used.

Known mainly for their kebabs, vegetarians won’t be left hanging. From their breads, to their platters of pickles and hummus, the cheese rolls and the original Turkish pide, everything is marvelous in taste and flavourful. Even the bread by itself is extremely enjoyable and baked fresh to perfection.

They also make their own Kunafa in house and let me tell you, it is the best I have ever had in Dubai! I have never seen fresh kunafa being made here and after seeing the process, I was truly astounded by the quality. It was light, crisp and tasted brilliant with the ice cream served.

With two existing dine-in branches and express delivery branches in the key locales of the Emirate of Dubai, they are expanding further to have more residents experience delicious food that will have them walking down the streets of Taksim, without ever leaving Dubai.
