New York’s Bareburger takes Dubai by Storm

Let’s be honest! It’s hard to find a good veg burger. I have been lucky to come across a few places that have made the veggie burger quite pleasing for vegetarians but they are as few as counting 1,2,3.

So when Bareburger opened in Dubai, I couldn’t wait to see if it would live up to it’s famosity of being ridiculously delicious inspite of being organic and all natural! I got the chance to go today and I can now shamelessly say, it has made it’s way to my Top 5 Vegetarian burgers in Dubai!

Walk in to this cozy joint and you will find booths or small tables to sit in. Our friendly server explained the menu to us and how everything was organic and made with natural ingredients. The best part was, their concept of Build your own Burger which gives anyone the freedom to choose whatever wacky combination they wish to indulge in.

I opted for the Brioche Bun + Quinoa and Sweet Potato Patty + lettuce + tomato + caramelized onions + habanero mayo + buttermilk ranch + feta + labneh. Can i please say it was the best combination ever? It WAS!!! The patty was super soft and melt in your mouth. The sauces, cheeses and toppings were lip smacking and the brioche bun was so soft, you will not feel at all that any gluten is bloating you up. And that onion ring on top literally was the cherry on the cake!

For sides we tried the Macho Fries. Named in an apt manner, this huge portion could be a meal in itself. The fries come topped with a velvety guacamole, spicy pico de gallo, gouda pickled jalapenos, buttermilk ranch. It was crazy good and finished to the last crumb.

We also tried the Freekeh-Pea salad consisting of mixed greens, feta, freekeh, chickpeas, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, mint, onions and lemon vinaigrette. So much goodness in one bowl was hard to stay put. It was all consumed satisfyingly by our hungry stomachs that needed some organic greens.

The Bakla-Wow dessert was indeed a WOW factor! First we were skeptical to try it, unsure of how the combination would taste. Upon high recommendation from the manager, boy was i glad we went ahead with his suggestion. A jar stuffed with a baklava base, topped with ice cream and finished off with whipped cream, caramel and pistachios, this amazing dessert was a true dedication to this beautiful country along with it’s own traditional nature. I have never had baklava in this combination and let me tell you, I would go back just to even have this dessert!

Our server was SO amazing and friendly. He took care of us extremely well and made sure we were having a great time which we did. The brand, which has several burger outlets in New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, New Jersey, Connecticut and Ohio will open another two restaurants in Dubai in the coming months. With all-natural and free range meats, Bareburger’s menu consists of signature burgers, sandwiches, shakes and plenty of options for vegetarians. They also have an option named Farmstead, which is vegan and gluten free, and protein packed shakes include the Banana Foster Shake and Hot Honey Shake. For more details, visit
