If you haven’t eaten yet at Punjabi by Nature, I don’t know what are you waiting for!
A meal here is always a treat as you enter the culinary lanes of Punjab. The food stays true to it’s traditions and anything you pick from the menu will have authenticity in its flavours and taste.
I was invited to try the new menu additions and I am so happy to know they have new varieties in Paneer and Aloo – 2 things that are most sought after in Indian cuisine.
For drinks, we started off with their most famous Pedhe Wali Lassi which is the most marvelous buttermilk I have ever had. It generally comes in a glass much bigger and taller and is a meal in itself. Most people can actually have the entire thing because of how delicious it is. The Ambh Ka Panna is the Tang of Punjab with the taste of Mango and is just as delicious.
Then came the newly launched appetizers which was 4 different kinds of grilled Paneer and roasted, charcoal grilled baby potatoes.
The paneer was soft and succulent and i loved the variety of spices it was grilled in. There was something for everyone! Spicy, not so spicy, minty, with yoghurt. It was all there and quite nice.
I absolutely loved the baby potatoes as they were grilled to perfection and the taste was fab. It was not too spicy which is great for those who don’t prefer spicy food.
The main course included Black Daal which was now made better in flavour and that cube of butter on top was the highlight!
The Paneer gravy and the Kadhi Pakoda were equally delectable. The kadhi pakoda had pakodas made of spinach instead of the traditional gram flour and were a unique twist. The paneer was soft yet again and the gravy was tangy.
The dessert of Doodhi Halwa was not my cup of tea as i don’t like this style of halwa in general. I don’t even like gajar ka halwa too much so don’t judge me 🙂 My friend enjoyed it though.
I love how Punjabi by Nature is so pro active in always working around their menu and revamping it. These additions are great to the already existing amazing dishes and I am sure their guests will be delighted by the options. Must try is definitely the Bbay potatoes and the Black Daal 🙂 A true Punjabi favourite!
