This Place Makes Next Level Indianized Mexican Soul Food

Wrapchic, popular back in the UK, was born out of the love for Indian & Mexican food. The founder Mahesh Raikar set up his first stall in Birmingham to serve Mexican food in an Indianized version. His vision for wrapchic is “To be the most loved burrito company in the world” so let’s find out if it’s maybe just that?

Tucked away in the foodcourt of Bur Juman Mall, this was my first visit to Wrapchic. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and how the food would taste. They have a strict NO FRYING policy. I had heard great things and was prepared to like the food. But i did not like it.

I LOVED IT!!! Here is why:

1. Choose Your Style

You can have choose from different types of how you want to have your meal. Burrito, Bowl, Wrap, Wrapchos, Quesadilla and Wraplette. Like wow! We chose the Bombay Aloo Quesadilla which was to DIE for! It had a Quesadilla style filling of potato and cheese and spices and was amazing! We also chose the Paneer Masala Burrito which had the stuffinf of Rice, Beans, and Paneer pieces grilled with spices. This was heavy but so so delicious. These came with a side of amazing mint chutney.

2. The Nachos

Thick nacho chips which were baked and not fried served with a delicious cheese dip, salsa, guac and sour cream! These were next level and i wished i could take these to the movies.

3. The Nutella Wraposa

OMG! This is like a traditional grilled sandwich grilled in one of those sandwich grillers but filled with nutella and smeared with a bit of butter while grilling. It was not overly stuffed and not sweet and was AMAZING!!!

4. The Lassi’s

We all have heard of Mango Lassi but have you ever heard of Coconut Lassi? When we heard it we cringed but upon recommendation from the manager we tried it and O-M-GEE, it was next level! So good and the coconut was not overpowering.

5. The Price

For the quality of food they are serving, their prices are a steal! High quality of Basmati rice and actual chicken breast for those who are non veg rather than chicken thighs, their average price of AED 28 is honestly the best part about them! And oh, they deliver too!

This was Soul Food. So going back here soon!
