Garden Grille at Hilton Barsha – A True Hidden Gem

This review is very late because I had lost my pics due to a corrupted card 😦 Thankfully it has now been retrieved and I can’t wait to tell you about this discovery. I don’t know about you, but I love to come across places that are true hidden gems. Garden Grille at Hilton Barsha is one of them and i feel damn envious of people living around that area who get to experience their beautiful dishes!

While the whole world has recently been going for their brunch, I went in to experience a nice quiet lunch on a weekday. I love their green interiors which make you feel like you are in a plush garden. The restaurant blends in with the whole feel of the casual hotel and the service is outstanding!

When it came to the food, their ingredients were of extremely high quality and you could tell how passionately the food was cooked from the taste itself. We had:

Bartender’s Specials – His mocktails were to die for! He made something sweet and fruity and we didn;t even bother asking what they were. They were refreshing and perfect thirst quenchers.

Caprese – Buffalo mozzarella, Roma tomato, argula, basil, olive oil and balsamic cream. This was beautiful and the buffalo mozzarella was light. The balsamic cream was like a dream.

Caesar Salad – You would think what’s so different about Caesar Salad. Have this one and then talk to me 🙂 Baby Romaine, Kale Leaves, anchovies, pumpernickel croutons, caesar dressing. The dressing is honestly the best part. I don’t know what it ad, but it made the flavour of the whole salad just so, so much better.

Penne Pasta in Pink Sauce – For a kitchen that doesn’t specialize in Italian food, this pasta was AH-MAZING. Rich, creamy and so flavourful.

main course

Mushroom Risotto – My sister vouched for this one. She said it was so good that after she took it away as it was left over, people in her house actually fought for it.

Assorted desserts – They tasted as good as they looked. There is a huge variety of desserts, coffees and teas and there is something for everyone. Their coffee shop is open 24 hours and so you can indulge in some of these until the wee hours of the morning.

I recommend this place for a very relaxed lunch or a meeting wherein you need some quiet. The staff will not bother you till you request them to get something which is the best part!
