New Menu Tasting at Mint Leaf of London, Dubai, DIFC

A meal at Mint Leaf of London is always a tickle to the tastebuds. The find food, lavish experience and beautiful views, not only stun you and your guests, but the exceptional service will make your meal a memorable one.

I was invited to try their new menu which comprised of new drinks and exotic dishes that were mostly unheard of in Dubai. Our server greeted us and was so good that I wanted him to come, sit and dine with us. Good service makes the meal even better! So without further ado, let’s see what I had:

Smooth Getaway – Stoli Vanilla, Vanilla syrup, Fresh grapes, Lemon – Extremely refreshing and tantalizing on the tastebuds, this Cocktail was smooth and perfect as an afternoon drink.

Georgia Peach Julep – Makers Mark, Peach Nectar, Fresh Mint & Cane Syrup – A tingle in the mouth, I loved the sweetness tat came from the peach.

White & Night – Grapes, Lime Juice, Sugar, Scavi & Ray Sparkling – This Mocktail was amazing and perfect for those who don’t want to drink in the afternoon.

Beetroot Pudina Tikki – Beetroot Cake with Punjabi Cholley – Beetroot and Mint Cutlets served on Bed of Punjabi Style Chickpeas. A tiny piece of heaven, this Amuse Bouche was a perfect start to our lovely meal.

Cholley Bhature Papillote – Chickpeas, Wonton sheets, plum tomatoes – Combination of Chickpeas stuffed in White Flour Panckaes, served with South Indian Tangy Tomato Chutney. WOW! Ever though you can have chole in a wonton? Neither did I. What a remarkable dish to be on the menu. It tastes just like chole bhature and that was the best part.

Crispy Paneer Laddoo  – Paneer bhurji wrapped in Crispy Filo pastry strings. Scrambled Cottage Cheese with Chili Raita, wrapped in Crispy Filo Pastry Strings. You mus tthink I would be lying if I say WOW for every dish that I had here. But that’s the truth! Paneer Ladoo. I mean who would ever even think about that?

Aloo Chaat Crispy Baby Potatoes with Sweet Yoghurt & Tamarind Chutney. Crispy Baby Potatoes with Sweet Yoghurt & Tamarind Chutney. This is from their current menu and I am glad it has stayed because this is one of my favourite appetizers. The potatoes are crisped to perfection and the spices with the chutney’s is a marvelous combination.

Zaffrani Tandoori Broccoli – Saffron, Cream Cheese Marinated. Tandoori Broccoli marinated with Soft Cream Cheese and Saffron. I may not be a big fan of broccoli but serve it like this and I will eat an entire tree!

Noori Paneer Sushi – Rubbed khoya and Paneer kofta wrapped with seaweed sheet. Dried Seaweed Wrapped with Rubbed Khoya and Paneer served with Creamy Onion Tomato Sauce, Melon Seed Paste and Cashew. OMG! guys, have you ever heard of Paneer Sushi??? This was so unique and perfect for those looking for a healthy option. Not to forget the extremely unique look and combination.

Dal Makhni – Buttery Black Lentil. Super amazing and a tub of comfort food.

Palak Methi Kofta – Paneer & Spinach Cutlets with Fenugreek Sauce. Indian Cottage Cheese & Spinach Cutlets with Fenugreek Sauce. If you are not Spinach fan then have this and I am sure you will become one!

Shakahari Mushroom Keema Matar – Stir fried Finely cleaved  mushrooms with petite pois. North Indian Style Mince Mushrooms with Fresh Green Peas. I am not a big mushroom fan but one bite of this will make you a convert. The keema version was amazing! Very tasty.

Mixed Bread Basket – Plain naan, chilli garlic naan, Tomato Olive Naan. Their bread basket is one of the best I have ever had especially their chilli garlic naan. It’s lip smacking.

Gulab Jamun cheese cake – Mascarpone Cheese, Rose Syrup, Pistachio Slivers, Gulab Jamun. Sliced gulab jamun sandwiched between layers of cream cheese cake, served with gulab jaum halves and berries. One of the finest cheesecakes ever made! Who would have thought gulab jamun in a cheesecake can taste so good.

Kulfi Trio Tiffin Pistachio, Mango & Saffron, Crushed Pepper & Caramel; Summer Fruit Coulis. Served oh so cutely, these little pots of kulfi were to die for! The mini tiffin was the best part!

A meal here will leave you amazed and loved. It is the most perfect place to experience Indian Fine Dining at it’s best!!!
