Located in the picturesque Grand Hyatt, Andiamo is the place where the mini Italian in me enjoyed the true essence of Italian flavors and a fantastic, romantic ambience.
Andiamo serves both Italian and Mediterranean style cuisines. It’s a great place to have brunch at, or spend time with your loved ones over a relaxed lunch or dinner. If you are planning a short and sweet romantic getaway brunch, this is the place for you. While the staff made me comfortable by offering the menu and taking my order in time, I was pretty impressed by their friendliness and professionalism. They pay attention to every minute detail, which is why they are known as one of the finest Italian fine dining restaurants in town.
They offer services like a full bar, shisha, valet parking, free WiFi, brunch and scenic outdoor seating. The newly renovated Andiamo! has the classic Italian concept of “La dolce vita,” which is “the good life, full of pleasure and indulgence”. For people like me who are curious to know what Andiamo truly means, it stands for “let’s go”. Andiamo is not just about pizza and pasta. It is not cliché. It has a lot more panache to it.
So while I enjoyed being in the lovely outdoors, my food was being freshly prepared. I ordered the Burrata and Margherita pizza to start with. The Burrata was extremely fresh. It had figs and cherry tomatoes on the side, which I love. The texture was soft and creamy. This was followed by the fresh, thinly crisp Margherita Pizza. The base of the pizza was fresh tomato and herb sauce, with a hint of basil. What I like about basil is its medicinal properties. You must include basil in your diet as mush as possible so I admire restaurants that use authentic ingredients. This was topped by chunks of creamy mozzarella. The stretchy, chewy mozzarella did it’s magic.
Tagliatelle di Datterrino, the tongue twister Italian style ‘paste’, was what I was looking forward to for my next course. This pasta is best for those seeking solace in homemade style cooking. The handmade Tagliolini was served with fresh daterrino tomato sauce, and was piping hot. Again, basil did its wonder here. With a dash of lemon, the acidity of strong ingredients was balanced well. All in all this pasta was a good try and I will have it again.
I have a sweet tooth. So dessert was obviously a must on my ordering menu. And Tiramisu was the knight in shining armor. Check out my video here:
It is the best item on the menu Andiamo has. You have to try this dessert here if you are a foodie and crave for sweets. And it’s a sin to have Italian and skip Tiramisu. My surreal experience of lunch was wrapped up on this delicious creamy note. The delizioso coffee flavoured Italian custard dessert with mascarpone cheese and whipped cream is to die for! Nothing else could have completed my mini trip to Italy courtesy Andiamo without Tiramisu. This place is a must go for all.
