In close proximity to the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and Wild Wadi Waterpark lies the Jumierah Beach Hotel. The restaurants and flavors of this marvelous hotel entices the guests. The combination of flavors and textures, all add up to the inviting aroma. It is a relaxed place with liveliness around. And the scenic location adds to its charm. For iftar, I was invited to try the popular. You can bring along your friends or family alike, and can also drop in for a romantic dining experience at any of their other restaurants. This hotel has got all the luxury you can imagine.
I must say, the MAJLIS AL SAFINA Ramadan tent was one lavish arrangement. The buffet was widespread, with a plethora of options available, to cater to all kinds of taste buds. It had a beautiful decor in blue and gold. Majlis is a term used to describe a place of gathering.
For quenching my thirst, I tried the coconut water. There was an interesting coconut water cart, which looked nice and is unlike anything i have seen in an iftar. There was also a live mocktail making cart. Mocktail lovers! Please head to this station real soon. There was also a tea and coffee cart perfect for tea-holics and coffee addicts. Who doesn’t love a sip of fresh tea or coffee anyway.
The food area had a variety of breads and fresh salads. The main attraction were the live stations. When you see food being made in front of you, you get tempted to have more and more. There was this big Chocolate fountain, which I would have dived into, had I been a kid. Chocolate is so fascinating. It never disappoints you. It’s a girl’s best friend for sure. The dessert spread was huge. There was fresh baklava being made too.
The roasted baby potatoes were marinated in light spices. They tasted awesome. Veg jalfrezi which is an Indian style delicacy, where vegetables are crisp fried and coated with spices was a good option for vegetarians. The Paneer kadai was creamy and fresh. It is typically prepared with Indian cottage cheese and has onion tomato gravy, sometimes with cream. It was extremely flavourful and could be enjoyed with both bread and rice.
All in all, the Iftar here has my word. I will get back for yet another ravishing experience and for the awesomeness of food in some of their other restaurants.
