Daily work and stress takes a toll on us many a times. There are times when one doesn’t feel like going out after a long day of work. Instead, a nice warm shower at home and good food delivered right at your doorstep seems to be a better option.
What good than to enjoy your food and checkout your own home décor once a while as you gorge on some healthy food 🙂 You do not get this opportunity every time if you aren’t cooking at home every day. So one fine day, I received food from Under 500. It’s a healthy eatery, which also has breakfast and dine in options. They serve healthy food and is a good option for all those who are health conscious.
I ordered the minestrone soup which was tasty. This soup has a combination of potatoes, zucchini, carrots, leek, french beans, spinach and celery. It is a very healthy alternative to packaged soups. You can always have this soup before dinner. There were sweet potato wedges, which were again a healthy alternative to potato wedges and fries. They were sautéed with a hint of rosemary and garlic. A nice healthy side to munch on.
I then looked forward to having the rainbow quinoa salad, which is a healthy organic salad with quinoa and a colorful mix of blueberries, pomegranates, carrots, corn, edamame, diced green apples, black olives and fresh mint, topped with low fat yogurt. Then the spicy edamame which I had, was served with sweet chilli sauce and a spicy twist of garlic.
The organic lentil salad I had was prepared with fresh organic lentils along with tomatoes, carrots, leek, parsley, raisins and almonds, with a hint of lemon juice and olive oil. It was a healthy experience. The protein muffin was more like dessert for me, as they say “Great taste, no guilt.” Under 500 is a paradise for people looking for a healthy lifestyle.
