Bollywood Fusion at Bol Gappa

Nestled in the midst of Riverland at Dubai Parks and Resorts is a cafe for Bollywood fanatics and those who love the art of fusion street food.

Bol Gappa will come as a surprise as both the service and food is beyond exceptional! It is not your typical Indian restaurant serving common dishes. The fusion to the dishes has not only been done remarkably, the taste is lip smackingly delicious.

Each and every dish we had left us wanting more. We tried:

Mexican Bhel – A unique concoction of Nachos made with Indian style sauces, onions and tomatoes. We really enjoyed this!

AluTuk Chatpat – For a potato lover, there is nothing better Haan this! Baby potatoes fried crisp and mixed with yogurt, chutneys and topped with several, onions and tomatoes. This dish is a chef special and we now know why!

Pav Bhaji Fondue – One of the best I have ever had. The bhaji was so good and the pav was soft and buttery. For a pav bhaji lover like me, finding the perfect pav bhaji is very rare.

Manchurian Hot Dog – I have never heard of something like this so when I saw it on the menu I was extremely intrigued. Dry Manchurian balls were served in a hot dog bun and topped with mayo, mustard and spring onions. The dish was unique and the flavourful and was a win!

Spaghetti in Pink Sauce – Not everyone can get this right especially the sauce but the chef at Bol Gappa nailed it. It was tasty and the garlic bread served with it was perfect.

You Yo Honey Singh Chilli Mushrooms – A unique name calls for a unique presentation. Served in a nest of fried noodles, these Schezwan style mushrooms were amazing!

Cold Coffee and Passionfruit Mojito – Loved how refreshing both the drinks were.

For dessert we had the Walnut Brownie which came on a sizzling plate. Hot chocolate sauce was poured over it which made it mouthwatering.

The ambience is fun with bollywood dialogues on one side and movie posters on the other. There are also old TV sets adorning one end of the restaurant. Our server Raj was way too sweet and gave us brilliant suggestions. Highly recommend this place for the amazing food.
